Dispatcher Securitas Job

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides centrally managed law enforcement radio monitoring with event logging and recording, as well as emergency dispatch, incident reporting and analysis, remote alarm panel programming, and video surveillance systems.
  • Dispatch emergency calls to respond to alarms or video triggered incidents/situations.
  • Monitors intrusion detection systems using automated alarm or video monitoring software, initiate internal or police response based on defined criteria, accurately capture event information, confirm accuracy of data recorded in the alarm or video database, interact with postal employees including postal inspectors, postal customers, and police departments.
  • Monitors and process after-hours phone traffic.

  • Must be available to work on all shifts: days, evenings and nights inclusive of rotational shifts.

Fire Prevention Securitas

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Inspects grounds, buildings and other infrastructure to detect fire hazards in order to protect life and property on client site.
  • Acts to enforce client safety standards and local regulations.
  • Inspects interiors and exteriors of buildings, grounds, and infrastructure to detect hazardous conditions or violations of fire standards.
  • Tests and cleans equipment, such as air compressors, fire extinguishers and other fire protection devices to ensure conformance to fire and safety standards.
  • Discusses violations and unsafe conditions with site representative; makes recommendations, and provides instruction in fire safety practices.
  • As authorized, issues hot work permits and acts to enforce site fire protection standards.
  • Prepares reports, such as inspections performed, standard violations, and recommendations for eliminating fire hazards.
  • May be called upon to perform fire-fighting duties during emergencies.
  • Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property, its asset’s and personnel.
  • May train others in fire emergency response plans.
  • May investigate and gather facts to determine cause of fires and explosions.

Security Guard at Securitas

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property it’s asset’s and personnel.
  • Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
  • Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
  • Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process.
  • Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
  • Satisfy client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to the client’s property and assets.
  • Monitors intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring software.
  • Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
  • Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.
  • Use of communication systems to report and inform.
  • Prepares logs and reports as required.
