This is a fantastic opportunity to play a role in all areas Virus Bulletin is involved with, including the development of the Virus Bulletin website and the company’s growing anti-malware and anti-spam certification testing.
Part of this role involves working on the look and feel of our website as well as the back-end programming and maintenance. You will have full responsibility for the functioning of the website (with content contributed by other members of the team), ensuring a fully functioning, frequently updated and contemporary commercial website that serves to promote Virus Bulletin’s products and services.
The other part of the role will be to work alongside the rest of our test team, contributing to the design, implementation and operation of a wide range of security testing programmes and related back-end systems.
Ideally, you will have prior experience of running a website or large projects in Perl or another scripting language. You’ll have Unix/Linux systems administration skills and will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of web programming security issues. You’ll also have the ability to pick up new skills quickly and will enjoy the opportunity for learning that this position presents.
